About

Commitment. Experience. Growth.

My name is Christer Christiansson, and I have been active in disc sports since 1981 — as a player, leader, and organizational developer. Over the years, I have built and led environments where structure, engagement, and clear goals create results. Since 2023, I serve as Head Coach of Team Sweden and President of PDGA Europe.

My driving force is to build sustainable organizations and help individuals and teams perform when it truly matters — whether in sports, business, or personal leadership.

I work with mental training, leadership, and coaching, with a strong focus on disc golf and performance environments. My roles as Head Coach and President of PDGA Europe provide a practical foundation for understanding how individuals and organizations develop over time.

Experience & Achievements

Over more than four decades in disc golf, I have competed, coached, and contributed to the development of the sport at multiple levels.

  • Swedish Champion (multiple titles)
  • European Champion
  • Head Coach of Team Sweden
  • President of PDGA Europe
  • More than 40 years of experience in disc golf

This combination of experience from competition, leadership, and organizational development forms the foundation of my work today.

My Philosophy

“Mental strength is built through preparation and passion.”

I believe in leadership that combines clarity with empathy — where people feel safe, seen, and involved. When the right conditions are created, true potential is unlocked, and meaningful results become possible.

My focus is on building environments where individuals and teams dare to take initiative, challenge themselves, and grow. Through structured preparation, clear goals, and genuine commitment, both performance and enjoyment are developed.

For me, growth rarely comes from big leaps. It comes from conscious choices, consistent decisions, and a long-term perspective — one throw at a time.

A Bit More Personal

I live in Gothenburg, Sweden, and I am deeply passionate about training and disc golf. My current focus is preparing for the European Championships and World Championships — raising my level, challenging myself, and performing when it matters most. For me, it is not only about competition, but about continuous development, finding new strategies, and building mental strength over time.

My personal journey reflects my leadership. The same commitment, discipline, and passion that I bring to training and competition are what I use to support and inspire players and teams. It is the combination of personal growth and helping others grow that makes the journey both challenging and meaningful.

Vision

My vision is for disc golf to be a journey of personal growth and joy, where each throw represents a step forward — both on the course and as an individual.

Mission

My mission is to promote disc golf as a platform for growth and enjoyment. Through an inclusive and inspiring community, I aim to support players in developing both on and off the course.

I work to contribute to sustainability, community engagement, and to spread the joy of the sport worldwide.

The goal is to help shape a future where disc golf is a respected and loved sport that creates positive change in people’s lives.
